LIM College – Where Business Meets Fashion
Introducing mid-level leaders to leadership best practice during a period of rapid growth and innovation.
The Client: LIM College – Where Business Meets Fashion – A Private, four-year educational institution offering degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Management, Marketing and Visual Merchandising. Founded in 1939, the College is located in New York City.
The Challenge: Assist “stretched” mid-level administrative managers in expanding key leadership skills as the college experienced a period of rapid growth and innovation while doing so in a highly targeted, cost-effective fashion.
The Solution: Working in partnership with the College’s Senior Cabinet and Human Resources department, Hudson Horizon delivered a multi-dimensional leadership development program that included on-site seminars, practice assignments, one-on-one coaching and individualized career development planning.
The Results: The widely praised program is credited with helping participants expand their ability to grow teams, develop staff and think and behave more strategically during a critical period in the institution’s transformation. The highly targeted program focused on the urgent development needs while keeping costs contained through shared management responsibility with the client.
The LIM College/Hudson Horizon Consulting Leadership Development Program’s success story is so compelling the two organizations were selected to share a Case Study of their program to regional and national conferences of CUPA-HR, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources in Washington, DC, and New Orleans, LA in 2010.
“From program design to facilitation, cost containment and follow up reporting, all aspects of the Leadership Development Program created in partnership with Hudson Horizon exceeded all our expectations. The College has benefited from this engagement in far too many ways to state here. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with Scott and Hudson Horizon Consulting.”
